He roared up in his Ford F150 beater pick-up truck, jumped from the cab, snatched up his jumper cables and had them attached to my car's battery in no time at all. With a rev of the truck's engine, my car's engine came to life. He detached the cables, threw 'em in the bed of his truck, tipped his Skoal cap and zoomed away.
