Buckhannon Creates "Pick a Pothole" Contest

The Buckhannon Street Department is creating a fun way to help solve a big problem in the city.They've come up with a "Pick your favorite pothole" contest. For $10 residents can call in and vent and vote about the worst pothole in town.The potholes with the most votes will be the first to get fixed. Street Commissioner Pat Long says the number of road hazards fixed will depend on how many calls they get.Long says the main reason for the contest is to help bring in some extra funding for the department. Long says the contest is silly, but that bad roads are a big concern for the city.Long urges anyone with concerns to call the department. You can reach the streets department at 472-5755

I used to clean Pat Long's house! Do you know that he has a dirt driveway FULL of pot holes??? All of that aside, Mr. Long is a wonderful man... too bad his wife wasn't so wonderful... I liked that job! :)
